Fast and Furious 6

What better way to enter the summer, than with some nice, good ol heart-pumping action! Fans of action will love it. Fans of the franchise wont be able to resist comparing this sequel to its predecessors. What did I think? Read on to find out!...

Its no secret good sequels are hard to come by. Knowing that almost gives sequels a handicap that might benefit them or hinder them, depending on your perspective. I appreciated the opening credits. It was a well edited montage (recap) of all the events that transpired in the first 5 films. I always appreciate when films do that. Villain was bad ass(Cold hearted mofo). There are some hiccups in this movie that breaks the aesthetic distance (prevent you from having that feeling you get when you watch a good movie and just get lost in it.) All in all, it was a great film that cleverly brought all previous installments into full circle. Yup, even Tokyo Drift!!! 

FAST AND FURIOUS 1-6

Even though this is the sixth installment, the tone of this film (and part 5) seem like separate movies from parts 1-4. The first one was the better "film"; It had a solid story, great characterization, etc. It feels like they lost sight of that with the following sequels. Part 5 took everything that worked from the first four, whose outcome was a pretty well-balanced. Now, dont get me wrong. I loved Fast 6 (can i call it that?). However, Fast 5 was slightly better. The action in Fast 6 was GREAT! So great in fact, it kinda took away from the story and character relationships. 

In Fast 5, everyone in the team felt important. There was a good balance with Paul Walker's story arc and Vin Diesel's. The supporting actors were so funny, and had a lot to offer in a lot of the action sequences. The antagonist(s): The Rock and the brazilian dude; added a very nice build up to the events that transpired towards the ending. [it was pretty crazy shit actually]

In Fast 6, the villain(s) stole the movie. As great as the action was, the dialogue was pretty forgettable. I didnt experience the chemistry between characters that i experienced in the earlier films. Then the action. I know, i know! I keep saying how great the action was. However, for one thing, there was a LOT of green screen used in this film. And it was noticeable. Also, when people in the theater are laughing at how, physically impossible certain things were, yeah...thats a problem. 

But hey, its an action movie. Who gives a fuck about dialogue lol. I say, this movie is worth watching in the theater!! Did you see the movie? Do you think it was the worst or best of the series? Drop me a post and let me know!!!
